Pre-Conference Registration

The deadline for the STC student poster submissions has been extended to Monday, March 31, 2014. The STC Summit will be held in Phoenix, with presentation of winning posters on May 20, 2014.
Previous winner, Samantha Gale, had this to say about her poster contest experience:
"Competing in the STC Student Poster Contest helped hone many of my skills that would later come in handy during job interviews and client work. I had to prepare a physical representation of my research that would answer any possible questions the judges could have; articulate my passion for and knowledge of a topic to people who hadn't seen the work that had gone into creating the poster; and defend myself and my work in front of people who would decide my fate. It was an exciting process, and my hard work paid off with a win — two years in a row!"
This is a wonderful opportunity for students to attend the STC Summit for free (selected posters will be printed by STC), build their portfolios, and network. Instructions for submitting posters can be found here.
If you are a student in an undergraduate or graduate Tech Comm program or course, consider answer the call for the Student Poster Contest at The Summit '14. It's a great opportunity to present one of your research project results, get feedback on your work, and make some professional contacts.
STC will print and display the top 3 posters throughout the Summit. The student finalists will have their conference fee waived for the day of their poster presentation (Tuesday, May 20th), and they will be provided tickets to the Award Banquet that evening.

Deadline for submission is 10 March 2014.
